About GVL Foundation

 

The GLOBAL VENTURES LAB has been set up at STEP-IIT-Kharagpur in collaboration with UC Berkeley, California and Jyvaskyla University of University Alliance, Finland to match the skills of various entrepreneurs to impart the students of the partner universities among the best entrepreneurs in the world.  The students of IIT-Kharagpur are considered the creme d la creme and have access to world class, highly technical, skilled manpower. UC Berkeley students have an abundance of pertinent venture capital and entrepreneurial resources while Finnish students with innovation rich set of tools could provide a rich set of experience. Thus, there is a huge scope for greater and all-round co-operations between the networking centers in the field of Research and Development (R & D) for the creation of beneficial resources in hi-tech applications. This global venture lab (GVL) will connect all these resources into a symbiotic venture entity which will spawn companies based on business and technology models between the collaborating institutions.
