As India being in the midst of a rapid  expansion , it is also home to the largest pool of efficient labor available cheaply, making a lots of business sense to collaborate with them. This is because every company wants to have a footprint in India to tap its growing market.

A further integration of all entrepreneurship related activities was done successfully with the formation of TBIIE that acts as an umbrella organization for carrying of all entrepreneurship related activities at IIT-KGP. This has led us to think of ways to further synchronize our activities in a coherent manner through up gradation and strategic implementation of our priorities, one of them being RIETF.

(b)   Markets

Due to the shrinking market in the developed world due to stagnancy and comparatively huge prospects for growth in developing countries like India, it becomes imperative for others to explore the Indian market and contribute to there own growth as well as the country being served.

(c)     Mentors

U C Berkeley and JYU, Finland students can avail of rich experience in terms of access to quality mentors and knowledge resources at IIT. A String of entrepreneurial program and activities are is  going on other then the one mentioned earlier, which can be instrumental in providing a rich set of exposure to the students of U C Berkeley like

      I.      Social entrepreneurship

   II.      Product and B-Plan contests (like Envision, Pensez and Eclairez)

III.      Incubation for innovators

IV.      Entrepreneurship mentoring  to grassroots etc

The mentoring will be provided by the esteemed professors of IIT-Kharagpur. We will also assist the UCB  and JYU in getting high level mentorship by providing a meeting ground for other centers of excellences like IBM and SUN Microsystems to collaborate with them.

The live projects to be carried out by the students during the 5th year of the integrated course have to be done in the GLOBAL VENTURE LAB of IIT- Kharagpur center as well as at UC Berkeley. This will not only make the students aware of the entrepreneurship activities taking place in the world but also make sure that the students belonging to both the institutions practicing Entrepreneurship earn the best knowledge available for them
